Most may not be familiar with this powerful fruit, but Sea Buckthorn has been used by people all over the world for thousands of years. Native to Eurasia and Northern China, these bright yellow to orange miracle berries are extremely tart. Think of them as your yellow cranberry. Tasty!

- In ancient Greece, it was believed that Sea Buckthorn was the main food source of the mythical winged horse, Pegasus.
- Fast forward to modern times: China used Sea Buckthorn juice as its national drink in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
- Birds have been known to get drunk off of Sea Buckthorn. That’s some powerful fruit!
