This page is the Cherry on top!

The Cherry has been delighting the palates of food lovers for centuries. Their rich, ruby coloring and sweet, tangy flavors have made them a favorite amongst many cultures. There are two main varieties of Cherries that are marketed today. The first, known as the Red Sour Cherry, is a favorite amongst bakers for its suitability in pies and pastries. The Dark Sweet Cherry is the type of Cherry you find in most grocery stores for raw consumption. The most common Red Sour Cherry is the Montmorency Tart Cherry, grown in the United States. The most common Sweet Cherry is the Bing Cherry, but there are many other varietals available.
