Kale

Vegetable

Why is Kale never lonely?

Because it comes in bunches!

Kale is all the rage now, but people have been growing this superfood since ancient times. Kale was brought into North America by colonists in the 16th century. Russian traders introduced the vegetable to Canada, and eventually it made its way to the United States, where it currently reigns as a popular and healthy green.

Did you know?
  • Kale belongs to the same family as cabbage, Brussel sprouts, and collards.
  • Kale actually becomes sweeter after the first frost of the season, and it can keep growing right through winter!
  • Get ready for a special Kale-ebration! National Kale Day is October 4th!
